Home Pregnancy

Are home Pregnancy Tests as accurate as the ones done at the Doctor’s office?
I’ve done Home Test before and they’ve come back negative (not pregnant) even though i come to find out later on that already like 3 months along. Has anyone else had the same problems with the home pregnancy tests?
Yes they are and sometimes home ones are a little more sensitive depending on what they are bulk buying at the time.

Saturday Night Fever (30th Anniversary Special Collector’s Edition) $3.99 Saturday Night Fever is one of those movies that comes along and seems to change the cultural temperature in a flash. For all that, the story is conventional: a 19-year-old Italian-American from Brooklyn, Tony Manero (John Travolta), works in a hu… |

0% Chance of Survival: A Testimony of Faith and Miracles $23.72 You are cordially invited to accompany author Kayden Jayne West on her journey through the valley of the shadow of death. You are invited to share her emotions and inner thoughts as she experiences the effects of the death sentence pronounced upon her unborn grandson to the unparalleled exaltation she enjoys today with that 7 year old miracle child. The journey has been long, the road has been rough, but the battle has been won – proving that with God all things are possible. Kayden was living a typically normal life prior to the start of this journey. The journey begins with the doctor’s cold, harsh words stating that the baby had a 0% chance of survival; the amniotic fluid was gone; the pregnancy had to be terminated, the baby’s lungs could not develop and would not inflate, but would stick together at birth and the infant would not be viable; the skin would be transparent; the fingers and toes would be webbed; and the hospital saves their beds for mothers whose babies can survive. The journey ends with the prolific words of that 19 ounce, 12 inch baby – now a typical 7 year old, speaking about Gods law.Kayden’s experience details her life beyond the everyday routines into the realm of faith and miracles. It allows you to walk with her through the dark times when the doctors said her grandson would not survive and through the triumphant times when God stepped in and said he would live. Kayden’s faith has sustained her and she has been rewarded with God’s answers many times. She can convey many personal experiences revealing the result of her faith and prayers, such as the time she stayed all night at the hospital and upon getting into hercar realized that she was not physically able to drive an hour home and work the next day. She relates how she simply laid her head on the steering wheel and prayed to God – telling him that she was not able to drive home on her own, and if she got there, she would have to have his |

8 Ball Chicks $15.95 Dismissed by the police as mere adjuncts to or gofers for male gangs, girl gang members are in fact often as emotionally closed off and dangerous as their male counterparts. Carrying razor blades in their mouths and guns in their jackets for defense, they initiate drive-by shootings, carry out car jackings, stomp outsiders who stumble onto or dare to enter the neighborhood, viciously retaliate against other gangs and ferociously guard their home turf. But Sikes also captures the differences that distinguish girl gangs-abortion, teen pregnancy and teen motherhood, endless beatings and the humiliation of being forced to have sex with a lineup of male gangbangers during initiation, haphazardly raising kids in a household of drugs and guns with a part-time boyfriend off gangbanging himself. Veteran journalist Gini Sikes spends a year in the ghettos following the lives of several key gang members in South Central Los Angeles, San Antonio, and Milwaukee. In 8 Ball Chicks, we discover the fear and desperate desire for respect and status that drive girls into gangs in the first place–and the dreams and ambitions that occasionally help them to escape the catch-22 of their existence. |

A Better Woman: A Memoir $0.99 If I had known…what giving birth was to cost me, would I have dared to fall pregnant? Yes, yes. A thousand times, yes. Accalaimed novelist Susan Johnson found, at age thirty-five, that her arms began to feel “empty.” Soon her desire to have a baby became overwhelming. She had no inkling then what motherhood would cost her — or give her. But as she went on to experience pregnancy and birth, and their impact on her marriage, her health, and her heart, she recorded it all in a black-and-red notebook. Here, Susan Johnson takes that raw, potentially wrenching material and creates an inspirational work of autobiography. In a hauntingly lovely account, Johnson portrays a woman transformed by motherhood, and a writer forever changed by a widening chasm of experience. Simple acts such as getting her newborn to breastfeed prove unexpectedly difficult. The husband she adores becomes a sparring partner, their newly purchased home a disaster, her time to write nonexistent. Then, just when she believes she may be getting her life together, she becomes pregnant again. Soon ecstasy jostles against bewilderment, rage, and despair when she develops a rare complication of childbirth. Facing major surgery, Susan calls herself “a one-woman catastrophe, a small ruined country.” She is also going to bed at night planning what she will write in the morning, burning to get words on paper. The mesmerizing narrative she created is A Better Woman, a chronicle of love and courage, by turns poetic and searingly graphic. It should be required reading for every woman hungry to give birth — and every mother yearning to have her deepest feeling heard. |
