Non-sensitive Job offer and disqualifiers…?
I have a tenative job offer from the Dept of Interior as a Building Manager (non-sensitive position) and was wondering if I would be disqualified because of my poor credit rating and general discharge under honorable conditions from the military. I also have an alcohol related incident and have been to counseling for such. What do you think?
your offered position is as a building manager, so i guess your poor credit rating will not affect because you will not be handling finance. military discharge will also not affect but your alcohol related incident may affect your application. since a manager will handle personnel, a person with alcohol problems will not make a good manager. if you are really good, and they have no other person in mind, maybe they will consider your counseling and will give you a chance under probationary.
